About Me

The ability for self-healing lies in everyone of us and the practice of yoga shows us how to access this immense healing potential.

As a yoga teacher I am honoured to be given opportunity to guide you on your journey back to your true self.

Hi There,

I’m Evelina

I am here to share my passion for yoga with you.

When I started teaching yoga I found that when I stood in front of the class my mind was taken to a new place, a place where tiredness, stress and illness disappeared, where I found great joy to be in my body and a place where my mind became quiet.

After 11 years of working in the corporate world in London the bliss that I found practising yoga enticed me so strongly that I was forever devout to this new world. I started practising more and more, finding peace & tranquillity after each class. After yoga I was almost springing off the ground, bursting with energy… And all this after a day of anger-filled tube rush hour commute, endless office pressures of being a female in a masculine world, pretending I can deal with it… All this followed by a mad rush to get to the yoga studio on time. Imminently after each hour of practice, a quality of profound lightness in body and mind would settle in.

Hi There,

After yoga I was almost springing off the ground, bursting with energy… And all this after a day of anger-filled tube rush hour commute, endless office pressures of being a femaile in a masculine world but pretending I can deal with it and finally a mad rush to get to the yoga studio on time. Imminently after each hour of practice a quality of profound lightness in body and mind settled in.

Unitl I found that I couldn’t stay off the mat, I wanted to keep that feeling with me for longer.  So I practised more. And more. I started observing how changes began to manifest, how what seemed impossible was now attainable, how the body started coming out of its years of moulded rigidity.  My breath was alive with new freshness, I was seeing and feeling the world with new senses.

Quite surprisingly for me I started turning down my friends’ invitations to go out on Friday nights and instead I would go to my yoga class. everyone was incredulous. Yoga instead of Friday night drinks?!  This is when I knew that my bond with yoga was much deeper than I thought.

So slowly but steadily, my practice grew stronger, I developed deeper interest into the world and philosophy of yoga and, finally, this lead me to my Yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India.

I am here now sharing all this with you as I would love to help you improve your life like I improved mine. To inspire you to break the chains that wrap around our bodies and minds. Chains that we have been carefully building around ourselves to protect us from the world. Chains that also suffocate us and rob us from our true identity.

I invite you to come with me on a journey back to your true self, selves, to your loving nature and to a world of endless potentials!

More About Yoga With Evelina

I prepare personalised yoga sequences for my students, work with their weaknesses and imbalances, record and send them their online Skype sessions so they can practice through the week before our next online class.

All of this works exactly the same as when we are in the same room together … if not better. The only difference being I can’t give hand assists. However, there is the added benefit of saving time and the boundless flexibility in terms of distance and location. I could teach from my terrace in Srithanu, from the beach, the jungle, or from my Airbnb room in Penang… My students could be on vacation, a work trip or back to their home towns where there was no yoga, and we could still meet and continue to practice!

Yoga with Evelina was found when I decided to start offering private yoga classes online.

I was inspired and influenced by more than one thing at that point – the freedom of being the master of my own time, the beautiful surroundings I experienced on a daily basis in Koh Phangan, the encounters and connections I made with similarly minded members of the conscious community on the island, the encouragement and support of my loved ones and my yoga students.

This made me teach my first online yoga session and what a revelation it was!

The scepticism and mistrust I always felt towards online yoga classes vanished quickly. The reactions of my students reinforced my changing views – they were feeling content having received an hour of my full ‘screen’ attention. My focus on their postures and breath was not in any way different to when we shared the same space.

So, after Koh Phangan, I am looking forward to experiencing more wonderful locations and connections with many more students all over the world. The sky is the limit!

I hope to see you soon !

A Bit More About Me

I completed my 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh in 2016. The styles of yoga I teach are Hatha Yoga, which gives the base of all yoga styles and Vinyasa flow, which combines static yoga asanas in a movement flow guided by the breath.

I was really eager and excited to start teaching so once back in the UK I started my own yoga group – mostly friends and friends of friends, rented a room in the local church and embarked on my yoga teaching journey.  And what a journey it has been!

The church classes gave me so much in terms of learning material but also a great joy. It was hard to give them up in the end of 2019 when I left the UK.

This period was marked with so much enthusiasm, excitement and passion! My students became my friends, the group my home. We did a yoga weekend in Cornwall together, practised outdoor yoga in the park when the UK weather allowed it, celebrated together. I will never forget these first moments as a yoga teacher and the joy and fulfilment they brought me.

While in London I also taught yoga on Yoga & Hiking trips organised by the hiking group Outdooraholics. There I started incorporating more stretch focused and restorative styles of yoga to help the muscles relax after the intense day’s activities.

During 2018 – 2019 I started teaching corporate yoga classes in WSP London, which was a challenge in many ways. It was wonderful to see the rigid bodies and minds slowly relaxing after an hour of yoga and breathwork.

On the more exotic side I am blessed to have taught yoga in such exciting locations as Ecuador, Malaysia and Thailand where I have spent some unforgettable time and created beautiful connections.

The most preferred way of teaching for me is still privately, where I fully dedicate myself to my students and their needs. Customising the sessions gives me great insight to how different our bodies are – this teaches me the most valuable lessons of how to work with various conditions.

The Near Future

After leaving the corporate world I have now fully dedicated myself to teaching and studying, developing skills that would support my practice.

I spent 9 months on the magical, crystal island of Koh Phangan where there is a community of teachers, students and healers. The vibe in the village of Srithanu attracts people needing a change, trying to find their way in life … I could not be in a better place after leaving so much behind!

In February 2020 I completed a Traditional Thai Yoga Massage course in Chiang Mai which finally fulfilled my strong desire to use my hands and the energy I feel in them to relieve pain and relax the body and the mind.

Shortly after this I also completed my Reiki II level which opened up more doors for me for distance sessions and healing.

After a period of two months in Thailand when the Covid pandemic started and a series with visa amnesties, flight cancellations, curfews and isolation, closed yoga schools and beaches, I managed to book a flight back to the UK to spend some time with James, my partner.

I then travelled for a short while in Europe as much as the pandemic allowed it. The Universe has been generous to me gifting me with wonderful experiences and connections along my way. In between working on farms in Denamrak, renovating my parents’ flat in Bulgaria, helping my daughter with her house chores in Odense I worked on completing this website too. One thing was always present though, wherever I was and whoever I was with – I kept teaching my online classes! Religiously!

Now I am back in London, building new foundations again, however this time as a self-employed yoga teacher. I completed a children Yoga Teacher Training Course last summer and now I teach in schools and nurseries, as well as continuing with my private clients and studio classes in MoreYoga North Finchley.

And this is my plan – to continue learning and teaching, sharing the magic of yoga with my students.
